Overview

This game was built for a client with certain specifications in order to meet their target audience. At the request of the client, the GameMaker engine was used to identify if whether this engine could be suitable for future game development for their business while using the HTML5 plugin.

 

I admit, I was slightly impressed with what we were able to achieve with this engine. Understandably, there were limitations, but this proved to be a wonderful experience that pushed the boundaries of our creativity and required creative thinking in order to accomplish certain objectives.

 

The Game

A casual web game intended for those who enjoy ridding the world of zombies. Your goal is to take the place of the shooter and protect your fence and survivors from the zombie onslaught. Players are rewarded with crafty achievements and an enriching story that make Zombie Outbreak a fun and enjoyable experience!

 

My Role

For this project, I was reponsible for project managing, concept, game design, level design, event scripting, gameplay scripting, achievement scripting audio, management of milestones and documentation.
