Welcome!

My name is Ellen Makkas.  I am a Project Manager for Central Piedmont Community College (CPCC) where I oversee the design and development of accessible learning experiences that follow the Quality Matters standards for faculty and staff of the college.  I also consult with faculty to create innovative learning solutions that align instructional and assessment strategies with student learning outcomes.  I have been instructing in higher education since 2013 and currently serve as adjunct faculty for the Simulation & Game Development (SGD) program at CPCC.  My primary focus of instruction is Production Management, Serious Games, Virtual Environments, and Game Design. 

 

I earned my Master's degree in Higher Education with a specialization in Integrative Studies where I focused on Project Management, Summa Cum Laude, from Capella University, and my Bachelor's degree in Game Design and Development with a specialization in Supporting Technologies, Summa Cum Laude, from Southern New Hampshire University (SNHU)
